85% of the world's plants and trees depend on pollination from bees and we all know how important trees are to us. However, the bee population is experiencing a serious decrease. Our team is trying to save the bee population by building what we call a “bee safe”. This bee safe will act as a bee hive with some technological advancements so the bees can populate and come back from having a decrease to an increase in population so bees won’t go extinct.
We are a group of students called the AnthoSavers we are in a organization for our school called project reservoir in Jersey city New Jersey. This organization is made up of 6 teams including ours. Each team focuses on solutions for current environmental issues. Our team focuses on protecting bees and finding any possible way to keep them safe. Farmers all over the world that use bees to pollinate their crops leave their beehives out in the open without any protection. We are currently working on a bee safe that will protect these traditional wooden beehive from weather, insects, animals, humans, and potential theft. Our team AnthoSavers will try and figure out more ideas on how to help our bees.
Hopefully one day our team can stop this major decrease in the bee population.

Currently we are trying to grow fungus. Studies show that some fungus act as a repellent to zombie mites for bees.
